Since I was a child, I have been in love with God. Growing up, I use to pull up a chair next to my bed, and I would put my hand in the chair so God could hold my hand at night. Today, I still have a chair next to my bed, and I have one desire. My one desire is to show people the God whom my soul has always longed to be with.
It is an honor to introduce myself as the pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church. My name is Brandon Malloy Patterson (I am extremely proud of my unusual middle name). I grew up in Nashville, TN. When I finished high school, I made my way to King University in Bristol, TN where I had the opportunity to play soccer. After that, I headed to seminary at McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, GA.
Currently, God’s wind has brought my ship to Maranatha Baptist Church. My congregation takes great care of me, and God is ever too gracious to me. My hope for this church is that it is a place where people can feel God’s finger touch their forehead and where everyone is loved by their neighbor. At the end of the day, I want to be like that one person in the Bible that nobody knows about, because he was so busy telling others about God, that nobody ever caught his name.
